Melbourne, Australia – Mobius Institute today announced that it has appointed Terry Blackman as the General Manager of Mobius Institute’s Australian operations. Blackman will assist Mobius to further its current vibration training and certification business, develop new training and certification in condition monitoring technologies, and drive the expansion of the company’s Reliability Improvement training sales in the worldwide industrial market through the development of new reseller and consulting company networks.
Mr. Blackman is a mechanical engineer and holds a master’s degree in business administration. He brings many years of reliability, maintenance, and condition monitoring experience to Mobius Institute’s management team. During a 23 -year career at SKF (OMX Nordic: SKF) in Australia, he was involved in application engineering, management, business development, and in 1999, he launched the SKF Reliability Systems business division in Australia, as General Manager. In 2005 he joined “SIRF Roundtables” (www.sirfrt.com.au) where he organized “roundtable” meetings and training sessions in the maintenance, reliability, and condition monitoring areas. Most recently he operated his own reliability consulting and training business in Australia.
