About this Course
The Asset Reliability Practitioner [E] “Reliability Engineer” course is intended for people whose role is to help the organization improve reliability and performance, and for anyone else in the organization who desires to have an in-depth knowledge of the reliability and performance improvement process. e.g., Reliability Engineers, Asset Improvement Engineers, Condition Monitoring Personnel, Maintenance Managers etc. It has become the industry benchmark in Certified Reliability Training, being the most internationally recognised and respected course. It gives a great foundation in knowing why unreliability occurs, how to prevent it and how to develop a plan to change processes and procedures to give measurable business results. Most Reliability Engineers get promoted to the role, without having any formal training in Reliability. It takes a long time to learn from others, by on-the-job instruction or by trial and error, so this course teaches the core foundations to be confident and successful. The course emphasises that achievements require a mix of technical and relational skills and that a reliability engineer needs to involve others in the improvement efforts. Key Topics covered are: • Determining the losses to the business caused by unreliability. • How to gain management support to resource reliability initiatives. • Developing or refining an Asset Management Strategy using Asset Criticality, RCM/FMECA analysis and PM Optimisation. • Classical Reliability Engineering Techniques and Data Analytical Tools. • RCFA/RCA Techniques. • Workflow and spare-parts management. • Defect Elimination and Pro-active maintenance activities. • Precision Installation & contamination control • Condition Monitoring Techniques and their applications. The course length is 5 days including a 3-hour certification exam on the final day. Promotional Text – ARP [L] The Asset Reliability Practitioner [L] - Reliability Leader course is intended for those who lead a reliability, asset management or performance improvement program. The aim of this course is to set you up for success. While technical knowledge is an advantage in this role, it is essential that the program leader can lead people, communicate frequently and clearly, and have strong budget and project management skills. You must have a vision of how the program will benefit the business and its employees, and a detailed plan, with milestones on how to achieve those goals. A reliability program leader must also understand the nature of the challenges that you will face and have a proactive strategy for overcoming those challenges. Although anyone can do the course and sit the exam, a minimum of 48 months’ work experience is required for certification. Don’t wait until you are in a leadership role to do learn these important lessons – study to advance your career and increase your promotion opportunities. The course length is 5 days including a 3-hour certification exam on the final day.
