Mobius Institute Marks its 15-year Anniversary with Significant Growth and New Expanded Locations

Mobius Institute’s 15-year milestone brings the opening of expanded offices in Australia and the USA, over 14,000 vibration analysts trained and growth in plant-wide, reliability improvement e-Learning.

Mobius Institute, today marks its 15-year anniversary. Founded in 1999, Mobius Institute entered the industrial training market with a single vibration analysis e-Learning product. Today, Mobius Institute has grown to become a worldwide, ISO-accredited training provider with authorized training centers in over 50 countries, a variety of products and courses, and having classroom-trained over 14,000 vibration analysts from 146 countries since 2005.

Mobius Institute began by marketing its flagship product, iLearnVibration™, and by 2005 it expanded its training line to include live public course venues in Australia and the USA. Because of innovative developments such as its worldwide Training Management System, extensive 3D animations and vibration simulators, and interactive student polling devices, Mobius was well-positioned it to roll out its unique training style to authorized training partners in over 50 countries. These innovations resulted in Mobius receiving several Australian government export awards and product excellence awards in the United States. In 2012, Mobius Institute Board of Certification (MIBoC) became ISO 17024 and ISO 18436-1 accredited, allowing Mobius to train and certify vibration analysts according to strict ISO 18436-1 and 18436-2 standards.

Its accredited training and certification are delivered via public courses and through online distance learning. Mobius has seen significant growth in its distance learning course delivery, providing student analysts the ability to receive accredited training and certification without having to travel to a course location or meet specific course schedules. As with the strong growth in online college education delivery, this trend is expected to continue for Mobius.

In 2013, Mobius Institute began offering e-Learning in Reliability Improvement to help industrial plants succeed in becoming more reliable. By improving reliability, plants operate more profitably with improved safely, while providing a lower-stress work environment for all plant workers. Mobius’ unique e-Learning offering, known as iLearnReliability™ is a subscription-based, training system that targets the entire plant; from senior management to operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel on the plant floor.

Coincidently, at its 15-year anniversary, growth has led to the opening of two new Mobius offices; a certification and operations center near Melbourne, Australia, and a sales and operations center near Seattle, USA. In addition to its original Australia headquarters, and its satellite offices in Belgium and Costa Rica, Mobius is able to provide good coverage to its customers and training centers in key regions around the world.
