The Telstra Business Awards provides an opportunity for small-medium sized businesses to be recognized and to promote their operational excellence. The Award recognizes businesses based on an extensive review of a business operations, sales and marketing, planning, performance and financials. Judges also seek input from customers, staff, suppliers and colleagues, whom they believe are great judges of a company’s character. Telstra (ASX: TLS) is Australia’s leading telecommunications and information services company, with an international presence spanning 15 countries, including China.

Mobius Institute has been involved in the specialized field of vibration analysis since 1999, when its founder, Jason Tranter recognized that the technology was powerful but was being misused. Vibration analysis is performed in all major industries throughout the world. It is used to determine if a machine, such as an electric motor or steam turbine, has developed a fault and may fail resulting in downtime, environmental harm and personal injury. Mobius Institute seized an opportunity to create engaging, interactive training products to help people become more educated in this field. Mobius, based at Merricks North in regional Victoria, never stops developing new methods to improve training. Notable client names include NASA, BHP Billiton, Boeing, GE, Ford, Chevron, Flowserve and the navies of Australia, the US, Britain, India and South Africa.

“Our never ending quest for perfection has allowed us to enjoy our success, as well as our willingness to adapt our products and business practices to meet the needs of different markets around the world,” said Jason Tranter, founder and managing director, Mobius Institute. “We are honored and pleased to be recognized by Telstra as a business leader in Australia.”
