ISO Category I and ASNT Level I Vibration Analysis

This four day public or online learning course, including review and the exam, is the ideal starting place for new vibration analysts, people collecting vibration data, and those who want a better understanding of vibration analysis and condition monitoring. The course exceeds the ISO 18436-2 Category I standard and meets ASNT SNT-TC-1A Recommended Practice.

INTERMEDIATE - Vibration Analysis Training

ISO Category II and ASNT Level II Vibration Analysis

This four day public or online learning course with an additional half day for review and the exam, is intended for people who have mastered the basics, but who need to be able to take good data (and decide how the data collector should be set up); analyze a range of fault conditions; and understand balancing and alignment. The course exceeds the ISO 18436-2 Category II standard and meets the ASNT Level II Recommended Practice.

ADVANCED - Vibration Analysis Training

ISO Category III and ASNT Level III Vibration Analysis

This four day public or online learning course, with an additional day for review and the exam, is intended for people who are confident with spectrum analysis but who wish to push on and learn more about signal processing; time waveform and phase analysis; cross-channel testing; machine dynamics; fault correction; and more. If you wish to truly master vibration analysis and be able to run a successful condition monitoring team, then you are ready for this course. The course exceeds the ISO 18436-2 Category III standard and meets the ASNT Level III Recommended Practice (for vibration analysis).

MASTER - Vibration Analysis Training

ISO Category IV Vibration Analysis

This 8 day course is delivered in a hybrid format.  Part 1 represents the first four days (equivalent) and is delivered via online learning.  Part 2 is a public venue course, that runs four days, with an additional day at the end of the session for review and the exam. It is intended for people who are interested in the highest level of learning in vibration analysis. Topics include fluid film instabilities, rotor-bearing dynamics, mass stiffness and dampening, modal analysis, frequency response functions, phase, coherence and operating deflection shapes. With your knowledge and qualifications you are able to design tests to solve difficult problems and identify underlying issues to prevent reoccurrence. There are no rotating machines problems too difficult to solve. The course exceeds the ISO 18436-2 Category IV standard.

Vibration Analyst FLIGHT SCHOOL

Analyst Flight School creates an environment where students learn from actual experience, through a format that is fun and engaging. Analyst Flight School - AFS-1

Much like flight simulation is to a pilot, Analyst Flight School challenges you in an environment of urgency and resource limitations. It is structured to encourage competitive, team-oriented problem solving, where you apply the knowledge you obtained in your formal course training to a wide variety of real machine problems. You and your team learn to apply yourselves in a way that is only available in a real or simulated emergency scenario. And as a pilot knows, developing real experience during a real emergency can have catastrophic consequences. You walk into AFS-1 a novice and walk out qualified as “flight ready”.

Analyst Flight School - AFS-2

Picking up where AFS-1 left off, AFS-2 presents challenging case study scenarios that focus extensively on using time waveform data. You learn proper setup and analysis along with machinery and troubleshooting applications where time waveform analysis is most useful. You then apply what you've learned to solve actual machinery problems in a spirited team competition where you will gain valuable and memorable vibration analysis experience, in a safe environment. Like AFS-1, the AFS-2 scenarios practice time and resource management. You will walk into AFS-2 as “flight ready” and walk out with a “flight leader” rating; truly a growing experience.

Balancing Rotating Machinery

Machines that have been precision balanced run longer, use less energy and cost less to operate. Unbalance causes fatigue, reduces the life of bearings and can make looseness and resonance conditions far worse. This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills so that you can use a vibration analyzer/balancer, or a simple sheet of graph paper and protractor, and balance a machine - without having to remove it from the plant.

Precision Shaft Alignment

Machines that have been precision aligned run longer, use less energy and cost less to operate. Vibration caused by misalignment greatly reduces the life of bearings, seals, shafts and couplings. This computer-based training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to use a dial indicator tool or laser alignment system to precisely align two components. Using our step-by-step training system on your computer, you will learn how to recognize misalignment and successfully set up the alignment job, perform the alignment and move the machine.
