Mobius Institute Vibration Analyst Flight School is a case-based, vibration analysis training that simulates not only real machine faults but situations in your plant that teaches you to think on your feet, develop practical skills and make you a more competent and confident vibration analyst.

You and your teammates are responsible to ask the right questions, request field tests, gather information and apply corrective actions to solve these unusual problems. It is both fun and educational, allowing you to connect the dots in ways not available in traditional classroom training.
AFS is not a hands-on course, but rather it’s a "brains-on" engagement with recreated machine problem cases. It bridges the gap between training and experience in solving real and challenging machine problems. Having the student teams think their way through the cases, the course demonstrates vibration data for what it really is; valuable pieces of information in a larger diagnostic puzzle, representing how a machine is behaving while operating. AFS teaches you how to think through the non-obvious problem scenarios and come up with the right solution in a timely manner.

Vibration Analyst Flight School - AFS-1
Much like flight simulation is to a pilot, Analyst Flight School challenges you in an environment of urgency and resource limitations. It is structured to encourage competitive, team-oriented problem solving, where you apply the knowledge you obtained in your formal course training to a wide variety of real machine problems. You and your team learn to apply yourselves in a way that is only available in a real or simulated emergency scenario. And as a pilot knows, developing real experience during a real emergency can have catastrophic consequences. You walk into AFS-1 a novice and walk out qualified as “flight ready”.
Vibration Analyst Flight School - AFS-2
Picking up where AFS-1 left off, AFS-2 presents challenging case study scenarios that focus extensively on using time waveform data. You learn proper setup and analysis along with machinery and troubleshooting applications where time waveform analysis is most useful. You then apply what you've learned to solve actual machinery problems in a spirited team competition where you will gain valuable and memorable vibration analysis experience, in a safe environment. Like AFS-1, the AFS-2 scenarios practice time and resource management. You will walk into AFS-2 as “flight ready” and walk out with a “flight leader” rating; truly a growing experience.
